Jewish Grandparents Network

Dr. Mogel will participate in the opening keynote as part of the Jewish Grandparents Network’s 2nd Annual Online Learning Fest on Wednesday, January 20, 2027 at 4:00 PM EST.

This year’s keynote will discuss: How Grandparents Can Inspire, Nurture, and Model Jewish Belonging: The Delicate Dance Between the Generations. Grandparents, in their radical devotion to their grandchildren, can be powerful Jewish role models, influencers, and transmitters of tradition. But grandparents do not make these choices alone — their adult children play the central role in determining how their children engage with Jewish life. Keynote panelists will explore how grandparents can navigate this intergenerational relationship with mutual respect, grace, and flexibility. They will discuss ways grandparents can confidently model a love of Judaism within the realities of today’s families, including many who are multi-faith and mixed heritage. Inspired by their grandchildren’s wonder and curiosity about the world, grandparents can spark a sense of connection to Judaism and help their grandchildren build a rich and vibrant spiritual life.
